Potter and Geologist Gets Drawn into Outlander Vortex.

A former New Yorker, I worked as a geologist and curator on a scientific research ship for over 25 years. Every non-ship hour was spent making pots and studying with a wonderful mentor. I am now happily making pots full time in my Phoenix, Arizona studio.

I "fell" into the world of Outlander completely by accident. I started making Outlander inspired mugs to satisfy my Outlander obsession while having my morning coffee and at frequent intervals throughout the day. I hope my mugs bring good thoughts, joy and comfort to other Outlander obsessed folks as we wait for the next book by the sorceress Diana Gabaldon and the next season of the Outlander television series.

The shop name “RoadsofGlenRoy” is derived from the "Parallel Roads" of Glen Roy in the Scottish Highlands, terraces originating as ancient ice damned lake (loch) shorelines. The natural terraces look like man-made roads from a distance. I’m a geologist and Outlander lover, hence the shop name “Roads of Glen Roy”.

All of my pots are dishwasher safe and food safe. I do not recommend putting them in the microwave. Handwashing is always best.
